Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 1 or higher.

 

Tenderers must be registered with the CIDB in a GB class of construction works.

 

RFQ documents will be available from the Administration Department at no cost to the service provider/supplier.  The documents will be available from Friday, 26 June 2009, from the Administration Department, 12th Floor, Caxton House, East London.

A Compulsory Site Inspection will be held on Tuesday, 30 June 2009.  All bidders are to meet with the Project Manager at the Mbhashe Municipality Offices in Elliotdale at 12h00, and then proceed to the site in Qhinqana Village.  Bidders are cautioned about the severe state of the road in this area.  It is therefore strongly recommended that appropriate vehicles be used.

 

Completed RFQ documents are to be placed in a sealed envelope endorsed " Construction of Storage Shed for Masiqhubekele Co-operative in ELLIOTDALE: RFQ No. 8/2/228/2008-2009 – AMATHOLE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY" must be deposited in the Bid Box, at the offices of the Amathole District Municipality, 40 Cambridge Street, East London, 5200, not later than 11h00 on Friday, 3 July 2009, at which time the bids will be opened in public.
