Human Resources Development and Employee Wellness


Purpose:  To develop human resources

Functions:
  • The rendering of human resources development services in respect of Councillors and employees
  • The administration of learnership programmes
  • The administration of Experiential Training Programmes
  • The coordination of ABET Programme
  • The administration of Bursary Scheme for Rare Skills
  • Administration of Employee Study Assistance Scheme

Job Evaluation Unit
In terms of the collective agreement concluded by the Eastern Cape Local Government Bargaining Council, the ADM and Buffalo City Municipality were commissioned to establish a Job Evaluation Unit for the Amathole District as demarcated by the South African Local Government Bargaining Council. The municipalities budget for funding of accommodation, employment and other logistical requirements.
