COVID-19 awareness programs:Mnquma Local Municipality

As part of the #COVID-19 awareness programs, Mnquma Local Municipality Mayor Cllr Sithembiso Ncetezo accompanied by his Mayoral Committee members handed over sanitizers, hand-washing, soaps and masks to BATA and Uncedo taxi associations in Butterworth. These products were donated by Amathole District Municipality as part of ensuring that all sectors comply to health and hygiene standards in order to minimize the spread of the Coronavirus.

Monitoring Special Parole Dispensation for the district

ADM Deputy Mayor Cllr Nomfusi Nxawe accompanied by ADM MMC's Cllr Mxolisi Namba and Cllr Solomzi Ndwayana are currently visiting King Williams Town's Correctional Services to monitor the program of Special Parole Dispensation for the district. The visit is as a result of President Cyril Ramaphosa announcement on amnesty for inmates to control and manage the spread of #COVID-19 in prisons. ADM EMPLOYEE TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

ADM Headquarters, 04 June 2020

Amathole District Municipality (ADM) has had one employee test positive for COVID-19 at its Alice Satellite Office under Raymond Mhlaba.

As part of precautionary measures, the Alice office will be closed on Friday 05 June 2020 to allow disinfection processes to unfold. The office will reopen on Monday

08 June 2020. The three (3) staffers who have been in contact with the positive employee will be tested and requested to self-quarantine to mitigate the spread of

the virus.

ADM Municipal Manager Dr Thandekile Mnyimba wishes the employee a speedy recovery and urges all ADM employees to continue adhering to COVID-19
