PRESIDENT ZUMA RESTORES HOPE TO A KEISKAMMAHOEK VILLAGER
On Friday 02nd October 2014, President Jacob Zuma restored hope to an elderly Nontsizi Dukashe. His Excellency, President Zuma was in the company of Amathole District Municipality [ADM] Executive Mayor Nomasikizi Konza, National Government Ministers, Premier Phumulo Masuale, Provincial MECs as well as ADM Municipal Manager Chris Magwangqana when he handed over an ablution facility to an elderly and hearing-impaired villager.
The hand-over was an integral part of the launch of phase three (3) of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) which was held on the same day at Keiskammahoek. The launch enjoined all three spheres of government while it showcased various programmes of the EPWP.
During his 2014 State of the Nation Address President Jacob Zuma announced the creation of six million work opportunities by 2019.
