AMATHOLE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY IS CALLING FOR COMMENTS ON    AMATHOLE DISTRICT ONE PLAN- “BUILDING A SMART DISTRICT”

 

Notice is hereby given in terms section 21A (1) (c) of Local Government Municipal Systems Act (no. 32 of 2000), section 22(a)(b) and circular 2 of 2021 that Cabinet approved the DDM as an all of Government and Society Approach providing a method by which all three spheres of government and state entities work in unison in an impact-oriented way, where there is a higher performance and accountability for coherent and effective service delivery and development outcome.

 

The DDM is anchored on the development of a One Plan for each district and metro space. The One Plan is an intergovernmental plan setting out of a 25-30 year long-term strategic framework to guide investment and delivery in relation to each of the 52 district and metropolitan spaces.

 

The Amathole District One Plan- “Building A Smart District” will be available on the municipal website, www.amathole.gov.za and at the undersigned offices during normal office hours, as well as all satellite offices of Amathole District Municipality in its Local Municipalities for comments and written representation. The closing date for submissions is Monday, 28 June 2021 at 16:00
