ADM OWNS UP TO EXCLUSION OF REFERENCES IN ITS FINAL VISION 2058 DOCUMENT

ADM HEADQUARTERS 14 OCTOBER 2020

VISION 2058: "BUILDING A SMART DISTRICT" is a conceptual idea of the current administration focused at planning beyond the five years of the IDP to build a smart district.

When developing the document, the institution looked at global trends and sourced information from various international institutions such as the United Nations: Millennium Development Goals and the Sustainable Development Goals, AU Africa Agenda 2063 and the referred to US Government Report. The institution also looked at the South Africa’s Vision 2030: The National Development Plan and Eastern Cape Provincial Development Plan amongst others.

ADM working with Power House Strategies first developed a Smart District Conceptual Framework that served as a discussion. This is the leaked document. The Final Vision 2058: “Building A Smart District” unfortunately did not include the list of references. ADM Accounting Officer is now addressing this matter and takes full responsibility.

We assure the public that this is not a matter of plagiarism but a case of excluding the list of references in the final document.
