ADM OBSERVES ANNUAL MARINE WEEK
ADM HEADQUARTERS, TUESDAY, 03 NOVEMBER 2015
Amathole District Municipality (ADM) will be celebrating the Annual Marine Week which will be held at Gcina JSS in Mazzepa Bay Location at Mnquma LM from Thursday, 05 November to Friday, 06 November 2015.
The purpose of the Marine Week Celebration is to create environmental knowledge, understanding and awareness about a wide range of environmental matters within local communities, school kids and teachers as well as other key stakeholders.
The Marine Week aims to give a human face to marine environmental issues by creating awareness on the marine environment, promotion of sustainable use and conservation of the natural resources for the benefit of both present and future generations.
The celebrations further seek to create a platform for school learners to become coastal management ambassadors in their local communities and to simultaneously showcase the career options within marine environment after matric.
